February 4, 2021MusicNL honours The Nain Brass Band and The Nain Moravian Church Choir with its 2020 Life Time Achievement Award
On Sunday, February 7th, The Nain Moravian Church Choir and the Nain Brass Band will be celebrated with MusicNL's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, in August 1771, a remarkable relationship began on the north coast of Labrador between the people of Nain and the arriving Moravian missionaries. Based on a shared love of music and song, this relationship blossomed into the formation of The Nain Moravian Church Choir and The Nain Brass Band.
For their extraordinary contribution to the culture, music and choral singing of Labrador's North Coast, it is with enormous pride and deep gratitude that MusicNL honours The Nain Brass Band and The Nain Moravian Church Choir with its 2020 Life Time Achievement Award.
The Award will be presented Sunday, February 7, during the MusicNL Award Show Gala. Hosted by Petrina Bromley and Phil Churchill. Streamed live on the MusicNL YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
